Wequity Awards are the epitome of excellence and inspiration, honoring women in technology and champions of inclusivity at the workplace. The prestigious Awards, a first in India, recognizes and celebrates exceptional work done in the field of technology by women and their male allies in India
The vision of Wequity Awards is to make the women technologists and their contribution more visible and shine a light on their incredible work in taking technology and society forward. These incredible women, and their allies, create impact far beyond the confines of their field and serve as an inspiration for the young women who are starting their career in technology. We honour individuals who pay forward to shape a larger network of women and men who support a gender-neutral workplace for technologists.

Nomination Eligibility & Selection Criteria
Tech Beacon
This award is for a female technology leader who operates as a clear inspiration for women-in-tech community through her outstanding technical contributions.
Nomination Eligibility
- A woman tech leader/executive in a senior role and meets either one of the following criteria:
- Techno-leaders who drive organisation-wide technology strategy OR hold the top-level functional responsibility for a technical product or technical division of the business.
- Techno-managers who manage delivery teams/units working on technical products/services OR manage technical development of the product/service with deep technical knowledge/specialisation.
- Is a torch bearer or visible role model for the women in technology community of the organisation.
Selection Criteria
- Technical contribution (30%)
- Influence on women in tech (30%)
- Thought leadership (20%)
- Business impact (20%)
Tech Exemplar
This award is for a female technologist who contributes exceptionally well in her area of expertise and has the potential to shape the future of the field in the years to come.
Nomination Eligibility
- A woman who holds roles and executes work that requires deep technical knowledge or specialisation.
- Has a clear track record of technical expertise, innovation and transformative impact.
- Has displayed technical thought leadership e.g. through white papers, speaking engagements, etc.
Selection Criteria
- Technical contribution (40%)
- Influence on women in tech (20%)
- Thought leadership (25%)
- Business impact (15%)
The Techinist
Nomination Eligibility
- A woman who holds one or more technical patents.
- Has a clear track record of bringing in new technologies and developing high quality products or services.
- Guides other technologists in the organisation or in the industry for the creation and submission of patents.
Selection Criteria
- Technical contribution (45%)
- Influence on women in tech (25%)
- Thought leadership (20%)
- Business impact (10%)
Solidarity Idol (CXO Category)
Nomination Eligibility
- A woman in a technical or business role at CXO level who has worked to support and help women in technology.
- Demonstrates social, cultural, and behavioural impact on fellowship and camaraderie for women in technology.
- Recognised as a mentor in the organisation / tech community that encourages women in tech.
Selection Criteria
- Initiatives and actions that reflect solidarity with women in tech (50%)
- Influence and impact on the strength of women in technical roles (25%)
- References that showcase support and help for women in tech (25%)
Solidarity Idol (Non-CXO Category)
Nomination Eligibility
- A woman in a technical or business role at non-CXO level who has worked to support and help women in technology.
- Demonstrates social, cultural, and behavioural impact on fellowship and camaraderie for women in technology.
- Recognised as a mentor in the organisation / tech community that encourages women in tech.
Selection Criteria
- Initiatives and actions that reflect solidarity with women in tech (50%)
- Influence and impact on the strength of women in technical roles (25%)
- References that showcase support and help for women in tech (25%)
The Equaliser (CXO Category)
Nomination Eligibility
- A male ally in a technical or business role who has worked to support and help women in technology and achieved positive impact.
- Demonstrates social, cultural, and behavioural impact on promoting women’s inclusion in technology.
- Recognised as a voice in the organisation / tech community that advocates for women in tech.
Selection Criteria
- Initiatives and actions that reflect sponsorship of women in tech (50%)
- Influence and impact on the career of women in technical roles (25%)
- References that showcase advocacy and a voice for women in tech (25%)
The Equaliser (Non- CXO Category)
Nomination Eligibility
- A male ally in a technical or business role who has worked to support and help women in technology and achieved positive impact.
- Demonstrates social, cultural, and behavioural impact on promoting women’s inclusion in technology.
- Recognised as a voice in the organisation / tech community that advocates for women in tech.

The CIO Luminary
Nomination Eligibility
- A woman in a CIO role who is responsible for overseeing the information technology (IT) strategy, infrastructure, and operations within an organization
- Demonstrates social, cultural, and behavioural impact on promoting women’s inclusion in technology.
- Acknowledged as a respected influencer within both the organization and the broader technology community in the role of CIO
Selection Criteria
