Wequity Awards are the epitome of excellence and inspiration, honouring women in technology and champions of inclusivity at the workplace. The Awards, a first in India, recognises and celebrates exceptional work done in the field of technology by women and their key enablers.
The vision of Wequity Awards is to make the women technologists and their contribution more visible and shine a light on their incredible work in taking technology and society forward. These incredible women, and their allies, create impact far beyond the confines of their field and serve as an inspiration for the young women who are starting their career in technology. We honour individuals who pay forward to shape a larger network of women and men who support a gender-neutral workplace for technologists.

We honour individuals who pay forward to shape a larger network of women and men who support a gender-neutral workplace for technologists.

Nominate yourself or a deserving technologist you know. Award nominations are accepted till 31st July 2023.
Nominations are open for the fourth edition of Wequity Awards to individuals across India in five categories and will be evaluated by a niche panel of industry leaders.

Nomination Eligibility & Selection Criteria
This award is for a female technology leader who operates as a clear inspiration for women-in-tech community through her outstanding technical contributions.
Nomination Eligibility
- A woman tech leader/executive in a senior role and meets either one of the following criteria:
- Techno-leaders who drive organisation-wide technology strategy OR hold the top-level functional responsibility for a technical product or technical division of the business.
- Techno-managers who manage delivery teams/units working on technical products/services OR manage technical development of the product/service with deep technical knowledge/specialisation.
- Is a torch bearer or visible role model for the women in technology community of the organisation.
Selection Criteria
- Technical contribution (30%)
- Influence on women in tech (30%)
- Thought leadership (20%)
- Business impact (20%)
This award is for a female technologist who contributes exceptionally well in her area of expertise and has the potential to shape the future of the field in the years to come.
Nomination Eligibility
- A woman who holds roles and executes work that requires deep technical knowledge or specialisation.
- Has a clear track record of technical expertise, innovation and transformative impact.
- Has displayed technical thought leadership e.g. through white papers, speaking engagements, etc.
Selection Criteria
- Technical contribution (40%)
- Influence on women in tech (20%)
- Thought leadership (25%)
- Business impact (15%)
This award is for an accomplished woman in a technical role who has contributed exceptionally well in her technical area or has one or more technical patents to her name and is consistently innovative in her work.
Nomination Eligibility
- A woman who holds one or more technical patents.
- Has a clear track record of bringing in new technologies and developing high quality products or services.
- Guides other technologists in the organisation or in the industry for the creation and submission of patents.
Selection Criteria
- Technical contribution (45%)
- Influence on women in tech (25%)
- Thought leadership (20%)
- Business impact (10%)
This award is for a woman supporter who goes above and beyond to help women in technology roles to overcome challenges and keep moving forward.
Nomination Eligibility
- A woman in a technical or business role who has worked to support and help women in technology.
- Demonstrates social, cultural, and behavioural impact on fellowship and camaraderie for women in technology.
- Recognised as a mentor in the organisation / tech community that encourages women in tech.
Selection Criteria
- Initiatives and actions that reflect solidarity with women in tech (50%)
- Influence and impact on the strength of women in technical roles (25%)
- References that showcase support and help for women in tech (25%)
This award is for a male sponsor who drives gender equity and creates or expands opportunities for women in technology.
Nomination Eligibility
- A man in a technical or business role who has worked to support and help women in technology and achieved positive impact.
- Demonstrates social, cultural, and behavioural impact on promoting women’s inclusion in technology.
- Recognised as a voice in the organisation / tech community that advocates for women in tech.
Selection Criteria
- Initiatives and actions that reflect sponsorship of women in tech (50%)
- Influence and impact on the career of women in technical roles (25%)
- References that showcase advocacy and a voice for women in tech (25%)
Common Guidelines
- The Wequity Awards are run on an annual basis.
- Nominations are open to women in technology and male sponsors in business or technology roles, across India.
- Both self-nominations and nomination by others on behalf of an individual will be accepted.
- All awards carry three eligibility criteria which have to be met in order to proceed with a nomination.
- Applications need to be submitted within the stated timeframes and in the completed format to be accepted.
- Evaluation is done by a niche panel of industry experts and leaders facilitated by Wequity.
- All nominees will receive a minimum of two communications from the Wequity team:
- Acknowledgement of application received, within two days of submission
- Information on nomination results, one working week prior to the Awards ceremony
- Further communication for additional details on the application may be expected during the submission and evaluation process.
- Final winners will receive a communication.

FAQs about the Wequity Awards 2022:
The winners will be announced only on 16th March during our premiere on YouTube and not before.
The polls are being conducted to purely provide additional avenues for women in tech and their key enablers to be showcased both externally and within their own organizations.
Nominees have to provide their photographs and current designation details by 22nd February and send it to contactus@wequity.tech
